Sunderland Play Areas – 27th July 2017

Brambledown have created one of the largest Play Areas in almost a decade for Sunderland City Council in Ryhope, Sunderland. Constructed and overseen by Neil Blakelock and Brambledown Sport and Play division North East,

Brambledown were responsible for the decommissioning of 3 redundant play areas across Ryhope, and the construction of a very large play area, with the latest and most modern equipment on the market.

The £300k scheme, on behalf of Sunderland City Council, extends our working relationship with this particular client to over 45 years, and an opening ceremony was attended by MD Frank Curry and Contracts Manager Neil Blakelock of our Tyne and Wear Offices last week.

Other peripheral works included earthworks to form mounds, drainage, block pave and tarmac footpaths, carparking, brick walls, lighting, entrance gates, seeding, planting of trees and shrubs, and turfing.
