Segedunum Roman Fort – 13th September 2016

Brambledown have just completed a hard and soft landscape project at Segedunum Roman Fort to the value of £100k. Segedunum Roman Fort is run by Tyne and Wear Museums, who were impressed with Brambledowns quality proposal and management structure of such sensitive sites. Segedunum Roman Fort is located outside Newcastle Upon Tyne. On the site of the ancient Roman Fort, Brambledown were chosen above 4 other UK Landscape Contractors to replace footpaths, steps, earthworks, pergolas, block paving, drainage and pin kerbs, tegular paving, soiling, seeding and tree and shrub planting. Brambledown Landscapes are still maintaining the site. The works were carried out ontime and under budget.

The Works were carried out in an extremely sensitive area, on a world heritage site, still open to the public at the time. The client was incredibly happy with the work carried out by Brambledown, and we were put forward to carry out works at Arbeia Roman Fort in Northumberland also run by Tyne and Wear Museums, based on the quality of the works carried out by Thomas Curry, contracts manager at Brambledown, and his trained team of award winning commercial Landscapers.
