Durham University Infrastructure Works and Environmental Improvements

Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd undertook landscape works to the entrance of Grey College, Collingwood College and Durham Botanical Gardens, which all lead off from South Road. South Road is one of the oldest Roads in Durham and leads directly into Durham City form the major University sites, which now include Durham Universities new South College and John Snow College, housing over 1,000 new students.

These raised stone planters, with copings, look fantastic when planted and lit up at night, and are a wonderful entrance feature on this prominent stretch of road leading into Durham City.

Brambledown Landscapes Durham, as well as preparing these raised stone planters with shrubs and semi-mature trees, have carried out pockets of semi-mature tree planting throughout the Durham University Collingwood College site, and around the new Carpark near to the Mountjoy Building.

Brambledown Landscapes North East will maintain the site for 12 months post Practical completion, with our Grounds Maintenance division providing litter picking, pruning of trees and shrubs, leaf clearance, as well as weed picking.
