Work begins on Significant new OMEGA Landscape Project
Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd is thrilled to be moving on to the next stage of this significant landscaping project at Omega Greenheart in Warrington.
NEWTS and skylarks could make their home in a new parkland being introduced close to one of Warrington’s biggest business parks.
Significant areas have aready been seeded in time for germination next Spring by Brambledwn. Cultivation and seeding of wildflora meadows and wetland wildflora in September by Brambledown Landscapes will bring colour to the Greenheart next spring and summer and in the forthcoming winter period new woodland areas will be established by Brambledown Landscapes with the planting of thousands of mixed deciduous and evergreen tree species, and new hedgerow.
The new Greenheart will be publicly accessible and will be used by children from Barrow Hall Primary School on Sofia Drive.
The so-called Greenheart at the centre of the Omega South site will include meadows and a wetland area and new wildlife habitats introduced.
The Greenheart is in the middle of the site, north of the new Barrow Hall Primary School and south of the Domino’s building.
Other parts of the site have been designed with restricted public access so that established wildlife (such as the great crested newt and skylarks) can flourish and organisers are hopeful that a new and a diverse range of species will make it their home.
