Columbia Grange School Play Area

A new play area at the New Columbia Grange school in Sunderland is almost complete.

Brambledown have undertaken numerous Play Area works on behalf of Sunderland City Council. This contract was managed by Jeff Minto from Brambledown, who worked closely with Phil Dorian of Sunderland City Council to produce a scheme within budget and on target to meet the handover date in 2 weeks time.

The works to the school involve a new play area which includes natural and traditional play equipment. The Play Area installation team at Brambledown have also incorporated Mounds and hills into the scheme through Groundwork operations, undertaken in-house.

The scheme was complimented by soft and hard landscaping elements such as planting, turfing of the mounds created around the play area and pathways.

Behind the natural play area lies a more traditional play area with surrounding ball court fencing and safety surfacing.

Brambledown worked closely with the council to value engineer the project wherever possible.
