External Works Estimator required to be based in the North East of England.
We are looking for a senior estimator who will be responsible for tender submissions including method statements, work programmes and pricing. You will be working in a team of three estimators & required to play a key role in mobilisation of new contracts to ensure full client expectations and tender details are handed over to the Contracts’ Managers.Good salary, pension and company car included in package.

About Brambledown
Brambledown focus on hard and soft landscaping and external works packages, and specialises in undertaking and efficiently delivering larger more complex multi-disciplinary external works projects, where we are responsible for the whole of the work on the site.
Maintenance Teams offer a complete range of grounds maintenance and street cleansing services, tree works, strimming etc covering the full range of provision from traditional based amenity horticulture contracts, through multi-site contracts to large 'City based' cleansing contracts.
About the Role
The successful candidate in the position will be responsible for tender submissions including method statements, work programmes and pricing. You will also be required to work in a team of three Estimators, to play a key role in mobilisation of new contracts to ensure full client expectations and tender submission details are handed over to the Operational Team. As well as to help develop the companies market intelligence databases and to produce strategic reports for Business Development Department.

Person Specification
* Preferably A 'Level English Language and Mathematics.
* Preferable HNC/D or Business qualification or Degree.
* Preferably hold a horticultural or environmental qualification or be able to demonstrate an operational background in a green or construction based working environment.
* Excellent standards of written comprehension in relation to reading and understanding tender documents (e.g. specifications and terms and conditions).
* IT literate and ability to use various packages in particular Word, Excel and Access (preferable) to an advanced level (essential), a working knowledge of Visual Basic (desirable).
* Highly numerate with an aptitude for financial analysis.
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Meticulously attentive to detail.
* Self motivated and enthusiastic.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Presentable appearance.
* Full driving licence required.
