South Middlesbrough City Academy
Client: Kings Academy South Middlesbrough
Main Contractor: Surgo (Formerly Bowey Construction)
In 2003 Brambledown won a contract to provide 5 grass pitches, a grass cricket square, an artificial cricket wicket, an all weather pitch and a multi-use games area with ball court fencing for South Middlesbrough Academy. Work carried out included earthworks, drainage, cultivation and seeding and landscaping and was fully completed in early 2004.
Barnard Castle Skate Park
Client: Durham County Council
The young people of Barnard Castle have been working towards a skate park for some time. The project involved laying a hard surface area suitable for skating and roller blading, fenced to match the existing multi-sports pitch adjacent to the proposed site and erect a skate park.
Over 800 semi-mature trees including 8 Metasequoia of 100cm girth. Large areas of woodland transplants and evergreen shrub mixes.

Brambledown have a large retail outlet located in Shincliffe Village, Durham City selling every gardening and landscping tool or product you could possibly need. Poplar Tree Garden Centre provide everyday gardening tools to both the general public and local domestic landscaping companies alike with accounts available upon request. Poplar Tree Garden Centre has been selling everything from gardening and landscaping tools to sheds and ornate gifts for over 40 years. As well as an onsite Florist, Poplar Tree Garden Centre is also the home of the Famous Brambles Coffee Shop, and soon to be home of Brambles Food Hall Durham, selling fresh local farm foods from all over the North East. Brambles Food Hall, will be an organic food Deli, Farm shop and convenience store all in one and will sell everything from fresh meats to frozen joints aswell as fruit, veg and plenty of other fresh foods in between. With construction almost complete, Brambles Food Hall and Farm shop Durham will hope to open just in time for customers to fill their fridges for Christmas.
